The Sussex Star
These hens very much resemble the Light Sussex, being a hybrid from a Rhode Island White and a Light Sussex. Her wonderful white plumage offsets against her black tail tips and necklace. Their bright red comb makes them stand out in a crowd, even while scratching around in the garden doing what chickens do.
Although lighter than their counter part she is a great egg layer who will lay approximately 260 eggs a year.
